Installation options Office 365 Add-in
The FileCap Office 365 add-in can be installed using the manifest file, which can be downloaded from the “Add-ins and apps” page under “Web Outlook”.
There are two ways to install the FileCap Office 365 add-in: per user or for the entire organization. Both are explained below.
Note: Changes made within Exchange/Office 365 are not always applied immediately. As a result, the add-in may only become visible some time after installation. Source: The following Microsoft article.
Installing per user (via Outlook Web Access)
1. Log in with your email account at [https://outlook.office365.com](https://outlook.office365.com/)
2. Then go to the inclientstore by adding /inclientstore to the URL. Your link will look like this:

3. After a few moments the store opens. Navigate to “my-addins”.
4. Under “Custom add-in”, click “Add a custom add-in” to add a new add-in
5. Locate the manifest file that was downloaded from the FileCap Admin Portal and click "Open".
6. In the next screen, choose "Install".
After the installation is complete, you can check whether the FileCap add-in works by following the steps below under “Check the add-in in OWA”.
Installing for the entire organization (via the Exchange Admin Center)
Follow these steps to install the FileCap Office 365 add-in via the Exchange admin center:
- Log in at the Microsoft Admin Center - Add ins
- Click “Deploy Add-In”
- Click “Next” and choose “Upload custom apps”
- Choose “Upload manifest file (.xml) from device”
- Select the downloaded manifest.xml file.
- Click “Upload”
- Once the application has been added, select whether the application should be available to all users and whether it should be enabled automatically for everyone. Here you can also configure whether the add-in can be disabled by the end user.

Check the add-in in OWA
To test that the add-in works, the following steps can be performed:
- Log in to the mailbox.
- Create a new email.
- Click the FileCap icon in the ribbon. It may look slightly different for you.
- The FileCap add-in will open on the right side of the screen.
- If the add-in is not in your ribbon, it can be found under the “Apps” button

Is the add-in not available to users?
- Create a new email.
- Go to the inclientstore.
- Look up the FileCap add-in.
- Click the FileCap add-in and open it to make the add-in available.
- Follow the steps under “Check the plugin in OWA” to verify that the add-in loads correctly.
