With the Public Invitations option, it is possible to generate a FileCap link so that people can easily send files to a specific email address linked to that link. This FileCap link can, for example, be placed on a website so that people can quickly send files to a specific department.
Creating a new link#
In the Public invitations screen, click the “New” button to generate a new link.

| Display name | The name that is displayed as the recipient. |
| To e-mail address | The email address to which the files should be sent when the link is used. |
| Requires registration | If this option is enabled, users must first enter their name and email address, after which they receive a confirmation link in their mailbox, allowing them to send files to the specific email address. When the option is disabled, users go directly to the upload page so they can immediately send files to the specific email address. |
Options for an existing link#
In the Public Invitations screen, two action buttons are shown for existing links:
Pause or Activate#
The pause button can be used to temporarily disable the link, so it cannot be used to send files. When a link is paused, the icon changes to an Activate option. This can be used to reactivate the link.
Delete#
This button can be used to permanently delete the link.
Note: It is not possible to change the “Requires registration” option once the link has been created. To change this, the link must be deleted and recreated with the correct settings.
