Logging in

You don’t need an account to use the FileCap User Portal. To send messages and files, FileCap only needs a few details to send you confirmation and verification codes.

Open your organization’s FileCap portal in your browser (for example https://yourcompany.filecap.eu).
Enter your name, your email address, and your mobile number.
Optionally tick Remember me (30 days) so you don’t have to enter your details again on this device.
Click Continue.
FileCap sends a verification code to confirm your identity. Enter the code, and you’re ready to send messages and files securely.

Sending

After logging in, you can compose a secure message directly in the portal:

Enter the recipient’s email address (multiple recipients are possible).
Add a subject and your message text.
Attach files — there is practically no size limit for files sent with FileCap.

Choose how long the transfer stays available (in days) and how many times the files may be downloaded. When either limit is reached, the link stops working.
Choose the verification method the recipient must use to open the transfer:

Verification code by email (default) — the recipient receives a code by email and enters it on the portal.

Receiving

When someone sends you a secure message with FileCap, you receive an email notification containing a link.

Click the link in the notification email. Your browser opens the FileCap portal.
Verify your identity using the method the sender selected:

Code by email — the code is sent to your email address; enter it on the portal.
SMS code — the code is sent to your mobile phone.
Password — enter the password the sender shared with you.
Company password — enter your organization’s pre-agreed password.

Replying

If your organization has enabled replies, you can respond to a received transfer directly from the download portal — your reply is protected in the same way as the original message.

Open the received transfer in the portal (see Receiving).
Choose the reply option, write your response, and attach files if needed.3. Send the reply.

The original sender receives a notification email and can read your reply — including any attached files — securely on the FileCap portal.
